We are seeking a reliable and skilled Joiner to join our team ASAP!
Main duties
Perform routine and general maintenance tasks with a strong focus on joinery and carpentry across ALL properties, including but not limited to:
- Joinery work (doors, frames, windows, skirting, architrave, flooring, fencing, and general woodwork repairs)
- Painting/staining & decorating experience
- Conducting inspections to identify maintenance work required & priority
- Troubleshooting & repair of joinery-related issues
- Liaising with residents and external contractors when required
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work completed
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Repair, maintain and replace damaged wooden fixtures
- Check quality, alignment and finish of completed work
- Keep work areas tidy and materials organised
Experience
- Strong joinery skills (highly required)
- Proven carpentry or general building background
- Communication skills
Essential
- OWN VAN/VEHICLE (essential)
- Own set of comprehensive tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Proficient written and spoken English
Desirable
- Qualifications in joinery/carpentry
- Previous experience maintaining a housing association or similar
- Basic electrical and plumbing awareness
! REQUIRES DRIVING: This role requires you to travel between any of our properties in and around Nottinghamshire to ensure they remain in a good condition. If you do not drive and have access to a vehicle, please do not apply.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
