Job Description
Callum Hughes Machinery is a growing agricultural machinery dealership based in Arddleen, Welshpool, Mid Wales. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are looking to recruit an experienced Agricultural Service Engineer to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking business representing several leading agricultural machinery brands. We continue to invest in new products and expanding our workshop and field service capabilities.
The successful applicant will enjoy a varied role, working both in our workshop and on customer sites across Mid Wales and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose, service and repair agricultural machinery
* Carry out hydraulic hose repairs and hydraulic system diagnostics
* Fault find on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
* Attend customer breakdowns and carry out on-site repairs
* Complete routine servicing and pre-delivery inspections
* Maintain accurate service records
* Deliver excellent customer service at all times
* Work independently in the field while supporting the workshop team when required
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience as an Agricultural Service Engineer or Agricultural Mechanic
* Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery
* Proven hydraulic repair and fault-finding experience
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* Good problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Must provide your own standard hand tools
Desirable requirements
* Experience with modern diagnostic equipment
* Welding and fabrication experience
* Experience with tractors, telehandlers, cultivation equipment or grassland machinery
* Agricultural engineering qualification (preferred but not essential with relevant experience)
