GB Fleetcare has been successfully operating workshops for Tesco for over 25 years, and we are delighted to have been awarded the maintenance contract to operate the Tesco Livingston Workshop.
GB Fleetcare operates workshops and outbases across the UK, including 6 Tesco workshops, 3 DAF dealerships, 1 standalone workshop and 3 outbases.

As we start this exciting new opportunity at Livingston, we are looking for experienced HGV Truck & Trailer Technicians to join our team supporting the Tesco Distribution Centre in Livingston.
The role involves working a 4 on, 4 off rolling shift pattern, with the day shift working 06:00am to 6:00pm and the night shift working from 6:00pm to 6:00am, giving an average basic working week of 42 hours.
About You
Ideally, you will come from a time-served Motor Vehicle Technician background and have achieved appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC qualifications.
More importantly, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop environment and have a genuine passion for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to the highest possible standard.
You will be a team player who takes pride in your work, has a strong attention to detail and shares our commitment to Quality, Quality, Quality.
A HGV driving licence is desirable but not essential.

The Role
As an HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards
- Carrying out a wide range of defect repairs, from replacing bulbs through to replacing brake discs and pads
- Fault diagnosis and rectification using the latest manufacturer diagnostic systems and tooling
- Completing job cards and service sheets accurately and within required timescales
- Working as part of a team to ensure vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently and to the highest standards
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with GB Fleetcare's quality and safety standards
