REPORTING LINE
The Executive Director reports directly to the Head of USA and Caribbean and works closely with Risk & Compliance, Service Line leaders, Operations, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to support the effective operation of the Cayman business. The Executive Director is the bridge between the Head, USA and TMF Cayman, acting as the point of contact to implement any directives from the Head of USA and Caribbean.
The Executive Director operates within TMF Group's governance framework, delegated authority structure, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for promoting appropriate escalation to the Head of USA and Caribbean and engaging with Market stakeholders to achieve sound governance, accountability, and regulatory compliance. The role provides local regulatory insight, provides the support required to engage with regulators and external stakeholders, and collaborates with internal teams to help ensure the safe, compliant, and effective operation of the Cayman business while reporting to the Head of USA and Caribbean on the execution of approved business objectives and strategic priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a multi-faceted role. As the senior local representative, the Executive Director shall be responsible for providing support in the following areas, (i) governance and regulatory matters; (ii) compliance and risk management; (iii) operational matters; and (iv) leadership and people management. These areas include, but are not limited to:

Acting as the local representative of TMF Cayman with regulators. This includes maintaining constructive and transparent engagement with the regulators while ensuring that the Head of USA and Caribbean is kept informed of all material engagement and advised on any specific jurisdictional aspects that they may be unaware of.

Work closely with the TMF Cayman team to provide support to ensure that TMF’s Cayman business is compliant with the jurisdiction's regulatory, governance, and compliance frameworks. This includes ensuring that compliance, regulatory, risk, and reputational matters are appropriately escalated to the Head USA and Caribbean in accordance with TMF Group governance requirements and delegated authority frameworks.

Ensure that TMF Cayman is ready for regulatory inspections, audits at all times, and provide the necessary support required to review the timely remediation of findings and recommendations.

Provide on the ground support for the implementation and ongoing operation of TMF Group's governance framework within the Cayman jurisdiction.

Support the management of jurisdictional decisions, approvals, and escalations, through collaboration with the Head of USA and Caribbean in accordance with governance policies, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements.

Act as a support for effective governance processes, including the coordination of approvals, escalations, and reporting related to significant operational, client, regulatory, and risk matters which cannot be managed internally at TMF Cayman.

Provide subject matter expertise, recommendations, and guidance to the Head of USA and Caribbean, management and relevant stakeholders in relation to Cayman regulatory and operational matters.

Support the ongoing enhancement of governance structures, policies, and controls to ensure effective management of jurisdictional risks.

Work closely with Risk & Compliance, Operations, and Service Line teams to support the effective implementation and operation of AML, KYC/CDD, FATCA, CRS, sanctions screening, beneficial ownership, and other regulatory compliance programs, while reporting to the Head of USA and Caribbean on applicable amendments to regulatory and risk requirements.

Promote adherence to internal policies, and TMF standards in relation to client acceptance, ongoing monitoring, and entity management activities.

Facilitate the timely resolution of compliance-related backlogs, remediation activities, and operational risk matters in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including effective implementation of appropriate controls, policies, and procedures across the Cayman business

Work with relevant teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and provide necessary feedback on any matters requiring direct involvement by the Head of USA and Caribbean.

Partner with Risk & Compliance, Legal, and Operational teams to promote a strong culture of compliance, risk awareness, accountability, and regulatory adherence.

Support the identification, escalation, and monitoring of material compliance, regulatory, and operational risk matters in accordance with TMF Group governance requirements.

Support the effective operation of the Cayman business by working closely with service line, operational, and functional leaders to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with approved governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and TMF Group standards.

Support initiatives designed to enhance operational effectiveness, service quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction across the Cayman business. This includes working with the Cayman team to identify initiatives to strengthen operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Assist with resource planning and talent development initiatives to meet the future needs of the TMF Group and Cayman’s role within the Group.

Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the jurisdiction's operational and delivery budget.

Support initiatives aimed at improving service quality, client satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and business performance.

May be expected to perform duties associated with board-level leadership and governance and may be appointed to serve as a director of one or more TMF Cayman entities, subject to applicable appointments, regulatory requirements and corporate approvals.
