We need a General Manager who understands how to balance the commercial rigour of a high-volume, multi-faceted venue with the warmth and inclusivity that defines our identity.
The Role
As General Manager, you have full accountability for the venue. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the lead conductor of our team, ensuring that every shift delivers an exceptional guest experience, a perfect atmosphere, and industry-leading standards. You will treat the business as your own, taking ownership of the P&L, site reputation, and the development of the people who make the magic happen.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving the Vibe: You are the guardian of our atmosphere. From lighting and music to the energy on the floor, you ensure our unique "Star" vibe is maintained at all times.
- Community & Reputation: You will actively build brand loyalty, using guest feedback and local insights to launch events and themes that keep the community engaged and coming back for more.
- Commercial Ownership: You own the P&L. You’ll manage the budget with a commercial mindset, driving daily takings and revenue streams while maintaining strict control over GP, labour, and wastage.
- Leading & Mentoring: You will hire, train, and inspire a customer-focused team. We are looking for a mentor who proactively identifies high-potential staff and builds our future leaders from within.
- Operational Mastery: From health and safety compliance to our online brand presence, you ensure that the venue is as sharp on social media as it is on the floor. You establish the processes that allow us to run seamlessly, even at peak capacity.
- Strategic Planning: You don't just work in the present; you look three months ahead, planning for seasonal shifts and ensuring we are always prepared for the next big trade opportunity.
