Part-Time CQC Registered Manager – Online ADHD Assessment & Treatment Service
Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: 20 hours per week – flexible Location: Remote / Home Based Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
About Us
We are establishing a new online ADHD assessment, diagnosis and treatment service for adults and children across the UK.
Our aim is to build a high-quality, patient-focused service that meets the standards required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with the intention of developing the service to provide NHS-commissioned ADHD services alongside private provision.
We are now looking for an experienced CQC Registered Manager to join us at this important stage and help us establish the service correctly from the outset.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the regulated service and play a key role in our CQC registration, clinical governance and ongoing regulatory compliance.
We are particularly interested in someone who has previously been a Registered Manager within a CQC-regulated healthcare organisation and understands what is required to establish and maintain a compliant service.
You will work closely with the directors and clinical team to develop a safe, effective and scalable ADHD service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the service’s CQC Registered Manager.
- Lead and support our CQC registration process.
- Ensure the service meets CQC regulations and fundamental standards.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of regulated activities.
- Establish robust clinical governance and quality-assurance systems.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, audits and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee safeguarding arrangements for both children and adults.
- Ensure appropriate governance surrounding ADHD assessments, diagnosis, prescribing, titration and ongoing medication reviews.
- Work alongside psychiatrists, specialist clinicians, prescribers and other healthcare professionals.
- Oversee medicines-management governance and safe prescribing processes.
- Manage and monitor incidents, complaints, risks and safeguarding concerns.
- Ensure appropriate patient records, consent and confidentiality processes are maintained.
- Prepare the organisation for CQC inspections and ongoing monitoring.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and governance of clinical staff.
- Monitor patient outcomes and service quality.
- Support the organisation in developing the governance and quality standards required to pursue NHS-commissioned work and future NHS contracts.
- Help develop and scale the service as patient numbers increase.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong experience within a CQC-regulated healthcare service.
- Previous healthcare management or senior leadership experience.
- Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and risk management.
- Experience managing incidents, complaints, audits and quality improvement.
- Understanding of medicines-management and prescribing governance.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
Highly Desirable
We would particularly like to hear from candidates with:
- Previous CQC Registered Manager experience.
- Experience successfully supporting or completing a CQC registration.
- Experience within ADHD or neurodevelopmental services.
- Experience delivering services to both adults and children.
- Experience within online or remote healthcare.
- Knowledge of ADHD assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and titration pathways.
- Previous experience working with NHS commissioners, NHS contracts or NHS-commissioned services.
- Experience helping a private/independent healthcare provider become ready to deliver NHS-funded services.
What We Offer
- £30,000–£35,000 per annum for 20 hours per week, depending on experience.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Predominantly remote/home-based role.
- Opportunity to join the organisation at an early stage and have significant input into the development of the service.
- Opportunity for increased responsibility and hours as the service grows.
- The chance to help build a modern ADHD service designed to provide both private and NHS-commissioned care.
The Opportunity
This is an important appointment for our organisation.
We are therefore looking for someone who wants to become a key part of the business rather than simply fulfil a regulatory requirement.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the service from the beginning, establish strong CQC and clinical-governance foundations and support our ambition to become a trusted provider of high-quality ADHD services to both private patients and the NHS.
Applicants with previous CQC Registered Manager experience within ADHD, neurodevelopmental, mental-health or NHS-commissioned services are particularly encouraged to apply.
