We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sample Machinist & Cutter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise fabric samples and cutting materials with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines and cutting tools to produce fabric samples according to specified patterns and measurements
- Interpret design sketches, technical drawings, and sample instructions to execute accurate cuts and stitches
- Prepare fabric pieces by measuring, marking, and cutting with precision to meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained
- Collaborate with design and production teams to refine sample quality and troubleshoot any issues during the manufacturing process
- Follow safety protocols when handling cutting equipment, sewing machines, and fabrics
- Keep detailed records of work completed, including measurements, materials used, and any adjustments made
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management is preferred
- Hands-on sewing experience with various fabrics is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to operate sewing machines and cutting tools efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision in measurement and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
