Cademuir Engineering is looking for an experienced Shift Team Leader to lead one of our production teams.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for managing people, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards and creating a safe working environment.
You'll be the main point of contact for your team during shift, helping to solve problems, support employees and ensure the department runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and motivate a team of production operators.
· Manage attendance, timekeeping and day-to-day employee performance.
· Deliver team briefings and communicate business updates.
· Ensure production plans are achieved safely and efficiently.
· Monitor productivity and take action when issues arise.
· Maintain high standards of quality and ensure procedures are followed.
· Investigate quality issues and support problem-solving activities.
· Promote a strong health and safety culture.
· Ensure housekeeping and workplace standards are maintained.
· Support employee training and development.
· Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction activities.
· Complete production and performance reporting as required.
What We're Looking For
· Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role.
· Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
· Good understanding of Health & Safety and Quality requirements.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to motivate and develop people.
· Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Organised, proactive and able to work under pressure.
Desirable
· Experience of production planning and KPI management.
· Experience conducting return-to-work meetings and performance reviews.
· Continuous improvement experience.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.

Shift 2: Week 1 Mon-Thurs 13:00hrs - 23:00hrs
Week 2 Mon-Thurs 06:00hrs – 14:00hrs, Fri 06:00hrs – 13:00hrs
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
