Opening August 2026, The Lyon is set to become one of Edinburgh's most exciting new hospitality destinations.
Located in the heart of George Street, The Lyon will combine the warmth and character of a traditional gastropub with exceptional food, outstanding drinks and a vibrant late night atmosphere featuring live music and entertainment.
We are looking for passionate, energetic and service driven individuals to join our front of house team and help shape the guest experience from day one.
As a Waiter / Waitress at The Lyon, you will be one of the key faces of the business, creating memorable experiences for every guest whether they are joining us for lunch, dinner, drinks or a late night celebration.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver warm, professional and engaging service to every guest
Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
Develop a strong knowledge of our food, wine, beer and cocktail offering
Make recommendations and confidently upsell where appropriate
Ensure tables and service areas are maintained to the highest standards
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service
Contribute to the lively and welcoming atmosphere that defines The Lyon
What We're Looking For
A genuine passion for hospitality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Previous experience in a restaurant, gastropub or bar environment is preferred but not essential
A team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences
