To include but not limited to the following duties:
- Caring for up to 40 dogs (with assistance) in the dog day-care facility. Always encouraging the safety and wellbeing of all dogs whilst inside the dog day-care creche. Always Supervising and controlling the dogs.
- Playing with, engaging, and enriching the dogs’ daily lives whilst in creche. Utilising games, balls, toys, and enrichment toys.
- Keeping the creche clean and safe to a high standard. Including deep cleaning on certain days, safe use of cleaning products and equipment. Safe us of PPE.
- Safe removal of urine and excrement.
- Always Providing fresh clean water.
- Feeding meals in a safe manner.
- Assisting with temperament testing where required.
- Assisting with various events ie Puppy Parties, Outdoor Events where required.
- Utilising the use of the time out pens or puppy pen areas when required to either rest or calm dogs.
- Carefully introducing puppies to suitable playmates.
- Other tasks may become apparent during the course and be introduced.
- Ensuring all apprenticeship paperwork and assignments are done and kept up to date. All Off Job Training Sheets are kept up to date.
Minimum 30 hours per week.
