We’re looking for a dedicated team player to join the Boatyard crew. We are looking for someone who can commit to a few shifts per week. Ideally someone with hospitality experience. Barista skills are preferable but the right person can be trained.
We are figuring out the business needs, as to whether this would be a part-time or full-time position, but we would be flexible around the ideal candidate
*Please note that we need someone who can commit to some weekday shifts, as well as weekends, so this position is not suitable for anyone in full-time education*
About You:
-a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
-be reliable, punctual, well presented & trustworthy
-an ability to work at a fast pace and to remain calm under pressure
-consistently high standards
-an eye for detail and flair for presentation
-be happy to get stuck-in and do jobs as they arise
-excellent communication skills, strong level of English
-positive, friendly personality & sense of humour
The Job:
-report to Manager/Supervisor
-keep front-of-house area clean & organized
-take orders, handle payments, serve food, wash dishes, general cafe tasks
-work with the team to give a friendly & fantastic customer experience
- some dish washing by hand
-once established, further training will be given on service and coffee barista skills
- we're a dog-friendly venue, so must be comfortable around dogs
