Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm finish

For over 40 years, SIE Industrial has supplied specialist equipment and technical solutions across offshore wind, petrochemical, marine, nuclear, rail, manufacturing and heavy industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a hands-on and commercially focused Rental Operations Manager to lead and develop our expanding hire division.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone from an industrial equipment hire, plant hire, engineering operations or fleet management background who enjoys responsibility, problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
You will oversee the day-to-day running of the rental operation, ensuring equipment availability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and commercial growth.
You’ll be working with specialist industrial equipment including:
- Abrasive blasting equipment
- Dust extraction and vacuum recovery systems
- Ventilation and air handling systems
- Surface preparation and coating equipment
- Industrial lighting
- ATEX and hazardous area equipment
Key ResponsibilitiesRental & Fleet Operations
- Manage the full rental lifecycle from enquiry through to return
- Coordinate mobilisation, delivery, collection and servicing of equipment
- Maximise utilisation and availability of rental assets
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, inspected and compliant
Customer & Commercial Management
- Act as a key point of contact for rental customers and contractors
- Build strong client relationships and secure repeat business
- Provide practical technical and commercial solutions for customer projects
- Support pricing, quotations and rental agreements
Team & Operational Coordination
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Warehouse and Sales teams
- Coordinate servicing, repairs and equipment turnaround
- Support continuous improvement across rental processes
- Assist with training and safe use of specialist equipment
Compliance & Performance
- Ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER, ATEX and company safety standards
- Monitor KPIs including utilisation, downtime, availability and revenue
- Support future fleet planning and investment decisions
About You
We’re looking for someone practical, organised and customer-focused with experience around industrial equipment or engineering operations.
Ideally You Will Have:
- Experience within equipment rental, plant hire, industrial services or fleet operations
- Good understanding of industrial or mechanical equipment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Good IT skills and familiarity with rental systems, ERP or asset tracking software
- A proactive and solutions-focused attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Experience within industrial, offshore, manufacturing, coatings, blasting or engineering sectors
- IOSH / NEBOSH or similar safety training
- HNC/HND in Engineering, Operations or Business
- FLT or HIAB certification
