Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop during busy periods. Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Handle customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage cash register operations and handle payments accurately
- Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light snack assembly when needed
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management abilities to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to enhance customer experience
