Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Qualified Accountant to join our finance team. Duties
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms to maintain precise financial records.
- Oversee financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in financial accounting.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Qualified Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and foster professional development.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Prior experience supporting audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards is preferred.
Pay: £24,420.00-£58,179.11 per year
