Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while collecting rubble and dry stone from various destinations. This role requires proficiency in operating grab 8 wheeler vehicles hiab and a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service.
Duties
- Operate 18 ton grab hiab lorries for the safe transportation to designated location.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Skills
- Job roll includes driving locally in west midlands area collecting dry stone and dust from various sites.
- Must have some experience in operating grab trucks hiab
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- A valid commercial driving licence for class 2 driving
