Bank Staff (Care and Support)

New Outlook has been providing housing and care services to people with sensory impairment across the West Midlands for over 170 years.
Our properties offer a 24-hour service; providing front-line care and support to vulnerable adults, some of whom have a sensory impairment as well as other physical and learning disabilities, and complex needs.
We are looking to expand the Bank Staff register at properties in the Erdington and Sutton Coldfield areas of Birmingham with experienced care workers. The role of Bank Staff is to provide cover for permanent staffing during times of absence, holidays, or sickness.
We seek enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a positive, can-do attitude, who can build effective relationships with the people we support, their families, and colleagues.
You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and should demonstrate a caring, compassionate nature alongside a strong work ethic. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team while also being confident and capable when lone working. The ability to remain flexible, proactive, and person-centred in your approach is essential.
You must have at least 2 year’s previous experience in a similar care & support worker role. Duties include providing personal care, administering medication, support with person-centred planning, assisting with activities and shopping, support with meal preparation, and domestic tasks where required. Part of the role is to assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation, assisting in maintaining the security of the building and adhering to all policies and procedures of the Association. You should be flexible, caring and have a genuine willingness to undertake further training as and when required.
Our properties have 7-day rolling rota’s covering early, late, and sleep-in shifts; 8am-3pm (early shift), 2pm-9pm or 3pm-10pm (late shift), and 10pm-8am (sleep-in shift) on weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays, where appropriate.
