Mental Health Support Worker – Days & Nights (Full-Time, 38.5 Hours per Week)
Location: Bancroft Support Centre, Mansfield
Hours: 38.5 hours per week, plus an additional paid 15-minute handover per shift
Shifts: Day and night positions available
Contract: Permanent
Pay: £12.82 per hour
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join the team at our newly commissioned, purpose-built mental health nursing home, designed with recovery, dignity and rehabilitation at its heart.
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with complex mental health needs to achieve their personal goals, develop life skills and maximise their independence. Through compassionate, person-centred support, you will help residents move forward on their recovery journey in a safe, therapeutic and empowering environment.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide practical and emotional support tailored to each individual's needs, strengths and aspirations. You will build positive relationships with residents, encourage engagement in meaningful activities, and support individuals to live fulfilling and purposeful lives.
Provide high-quality, person-centred support with daily living activities.
Build therapeutic relationships with residents based on trust, respect and consistency.
Support the delivery of individualised, recovery-focused care plans alongside the wider multidisciplinary team.
Encourage residents to participate in rehabilitation programmes, social opportunities and community-based activities.
Promote independence, choice, dignity and self-worth in every interaction.
Observe, record and report changes in residents' wellbeing in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to effective communication within the team.
Support the creation of a safe, positive and recovery-focused environment.
