The Role
Dot-The-Eye Ltd are looking to employ a motivated, hardworking, creative and organised individual to join our Communications Team. Our company has a proven track record in managing professional associations and providing them with the tools for success in their business sector. Much of this work is done through printed and online publications and media.
The person taking on this role will be supporting two areas of the business.
- Communications, where the Team is creating social media, writing newsletters and emailers, creating flyers and technical documents for a range of our customers.
- Events, where the Team, is planning, organising and running a range of events throughout the year.
There is a significant crossover between the two teams when it comes to the material required for events, marketing related to the promotion of the event, and the communication in the lead up to, during, and after the events.
Therefore, we are looking for an Individual who will report into both teams to help ensure that we are delivering to a high standard for our customers.

Dot-The-Eye is a small business based in the Southwest of England. We were originally founded in 2005 and have grown over the years to a team of fifteen.
Our company has a proven track record in offering solutions for Society and Association management, including developing and managing their websites to provide them with the tools for success in their business sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and producing social media content and copy related to events
- Copywriting for newsletters, magazines, press releases, brochures, website etc (including article writing and content layout) related to events
- Creation of marketing materials related to events
- Day-to-day admin relating to events
- Email marketing related to events
- Assisting with event planning and preparation including but not limited to:Creating material related to events, such as joining instructions, Webpage content, Feedback forms, Collating information, Assisting with the review processes, General Event Admin, Handling Enquiries
- Supporting the Communications and Marketing Lead in in creating social media content and helping manage the client’s social media channels relating to events
- Covering roles in the Comms and Events Team if required

The Person
The key skills and qualities that we require for this role include:
- Experience in Social Media content creation
- Knowledge of design software (eg. Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher)
- Proven success in writing content for publication, either in printed or posted content
- At least 1 year of working in a business environment
- A clear and established level of competency in written English
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Flexible and willing to accept changes in priorities as necessary
- Effective, clear and professional communication skills, both written and oral
- Some knowledge of managing social media (particularly LinkedIn and Twitter)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to simultaneously work on different projects for different clients
- Ability to work flexibly, either alone or as part of a team
- Established knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office programs
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths
