The Role
The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the achievement of sales targets. The role involves identifying leads, engaging prospective customers, preparing quotations and proposals, and managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to close.
This is a commercially focused role requiring confidence, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust with a range of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound sales activity
- Follow up on leads, enquiries, and quotes in a timely manner
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers
- Understand client needs and provide suitable solutions
- Provide a high standard of customer service throughout the sales process
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Update CRM systems with current and accurate information
- Produce reports on pipeline progress, conversions, and sales performance
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to support business development activity
- Share market feedback, customer trends, and competitor intelligence
- Contribute to sales campaigns, promotions, and business development initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly and professionally
- Confident negotiating and presenting to customers
- Experience in B2B sales
- Experience managing a sales pipeline
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
- Experience preparing quotations, proposals, and sales documents
Working Environment
This role may involve supporting multiple business areas and working closely with sales, training, operations, and management teams. Flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to high standards are essential.
This role is primarily office-based with potential travel to meet clients, attend events, or support business development activity. A flexible and professional approach is essential.
