Part-Time Bathroom & Kitchen Designer
Potential to Progress to Full-Time Following a 4–6 Month Probationary Period
Cardiff Kitchen & Bathrooom store are looking for a friendly, professional and customer-focused Part-Time Bathroom & Kitchen Designer to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for interior design, customer service and creating beautiful spaces.
The position will initially be part-time, with the potential to progress into a full-time permanent role following a successful 4–6 month probationary period, subject to performance and the needs of the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers from the initial design stage through to product selection, quotation and ordering, helping customers bring their new bathroom or kitchen to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers into the showroom and provide a friendly and professional service.
- Assist customers with selecting bathroom suites, kitchens, tiles, shower wall panels, flooring and associated products.
- Create detailed 3D bathroom and kitchen designs using CAD software.
- Develop initial design concepts using room surveys and measurements provided by our installation team.
- Work closely with customers to refine and amend designs to create their ideal space.
- Prepare quotations and product schedules accurately.
- Order products and liaise with suppliers to help ensure projects run smoothly.
- Maintain good product knowledge and help keep showroom displays presentable and up to date.
- Work closely with our installation team to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional.
- Confident dealing with customers face-to-face, over the phone and by email.
- Patient and understanding throughout the customer design process.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new design software.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passionate about design and helping customers create their ideal bathroom or kitchen.
- Willing to learn and develop within the role.
Experience
Experience in the following would be beneficial, although not essential:
- Bathroom, kitchen or interior design.
- CAD or 3D design software, with ArtiCAD experience being an advantage.
- Showroom, retail or customer service.
- Bathrooms, kitchens, tiles, flooring or associated products.
Full training can be provided for the right candidate who has the right attitude, customer-service skills and willingness to learn.

Pay: £18,506.00 per year
