Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Bar Person to join our hospitality team at a Private Members Golf Club. In this role, you will be the face of our bar, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for members, guests and visitors while delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a dynamic environment, where teamwork and positive energy are at the core of everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Greet members, guests and visitors warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, following all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies.
- Operate the till and handle card transactions accurately.
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Deal with member requests and queries professionally.
- Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods.
- Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
- Strong serving skills with the ability to multitask effectively during high-volume periods.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work well as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
