SAAG is looking for a friendly, confident and reliable Waitress / Front of House Team Member to join our team. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent service to our guests.
We are looking for someone who is positive, well-presented and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately
- Serve food and drinks efficiently
- Have a good understanding of the menu and be able to make recommendations
- Check on guests throughout their meal and respond promptly to requests
- Prepare tables before service and clear/reset them between customers
- Process bills and card/cash payments accurately
- Assist with takeaway and collection orders when required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar and other front-of-house staff
- Help create a warm, enjoyable and memorable experience for every guest
- Support private parties, events and busy weekend services when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but training can be provided
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills
- Friendly, approachable and confident personality
- Reliable and punctual
- Smart and professional appearance
- Able to remain calm and organised during busy periods
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Good spoken English
- Knowledge of Indian food is an advantage but not essential
