Dr Curran & Partners is a busy, well established GP Surgery providing excellent standards of care to our patients. With over 10,000 patients, this is a highly demanding and busy role.

The applicants would be expected to possess good people skills and understand the importance of good customer care. You will have a warm and confident personality, give excellent customer service as a priority and be by nature consistently positive, friendly and calm. You will have recent proven reception experience, preferably in a GP/Health Care environment although full training will be provided. We operate a system of cross covering for holidays or other absence and flexibility is an essential element of the role. Please submit an up to date CV with your correct contact details.

Applicants should be genuinely looking for a permanent position of 37.5 hours per week. This includes early mornings from 08:00hrs and also a late until 20:00hrs on either a Monday or Tuesday. Due to the nature of the job you may be required at short notice, so ideally we are looking for someone whose commute is 45 mins or less.

Good literacy, accuracy and attention to detail are vital. You must also be IT literate as the bulk of the work involves inputting data into the computer. Knowledge of EMIS Web would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook an advantage.

Duties would include dealing with patients and visitors both face to face and over the telephone, liaising with other members of staff and would need to give general office support such as scanning, filing, post, prescriptions, data entry etc.
