Trainee Digital Production Technician (Dental CAD/CAM, Milling and 3D Printing)
About the Role
Queensway Dental Laboratory has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our highly skilled CAD/CAM Team.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in digital dental technology. You may be a recent college or university graduate, have an interest in CAD/CAM technology, or simply enjoy working with computers, precision and manufacturing. We will provide the training and support you need to develop your skills.
Working alongside some of the UK's leading dental technicians and clinicians, you will learn the latest digital workflows, CAD/CAM manufacturing techniques and 3D printing technologies within a modern, state-of-the-art laboratory.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
· Has a genuine interest in digital technology and manufacturing.
· Enjoys working with computers, is confident using Windows and is keen to learn new software.
· Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate, consistent and high-quality work.
· Is organised and able to work in a methodical way.
· Has good communication skills and takes responsibility for their work.
· Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
· Is reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
· Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
Experience with CAD software, 3D printing or digital manufacturing would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
You will be trained to:
· Prepare, organise and check digital case files for production.
· Support milling, 3D printing and other digital manufacturing workflows.
· Follow laboratory procedures, production instructions and quality standards.
· Complete production and quality checks accurately.
· Identify unclear or incorrect information and raise it before proceeding.
· Maintain accurate case records and communicate delays or concerns promptly.
· Help maintain equipment, materials and work areas.
· Work closely with technicians and clinicians to complete cases on time.
Qualifications
We welcome applications from candidates who are genuinely interested in digital technology, willing to learn and keen to build a career in dental technology. Previous dental laboratory experience is not essential; we are looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and excellent attention to detail.
