We're looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator with the skills to keep our Longshaw and High Peak Estates in tip top condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit and love the place.
‘Looking after what we’ve got’ is the essence of what we do every day and with a range of buildings and facilities to care for, we’re looking for someone to help make sure that things run smoothly, safely and with the highest standards of service.
You'll work 22.5 hours per week. We're flexible on how these hours are worked and are looking for someone who can commit to a regular working pattern, rather than one that changes from week to week. This can be discussed further at interview stage. There will also be occasional weekend working as part of the role.
Interviews: We expect to hold interviews on Tuesday 25th August.
What it's like to work here:You'll be based in the Estate Office at Longshaw near Sheffield, but you may occasionally be required to work at our other properties in the Peak District to attend meetings, training, or to provide cover for absences within the team.
Reporting to the Facilities & Support Services Manager, you'll join a supportive team who work at our other sites in the Peak District portfolio.
With a lot going on at all times, you can guarantee no day will be the same, so you’ll have to love variety.
What you'll be doing:Your role is pivotal to the efficient running of Longshaw. Our team has been described as the oil that keeps parts of the organisation working together smoothly, so we’re looking for someone who thrives on variety and will take pride in running an efficient, effective and flexible facilities service.
You’ll need good organisational skills and a can-do attitude as you’ll support the Facilities & Support Services Manager in the areas of Health, Safety, Security, Fire, Access and Risk. You’ll be helping with planned, preventative and reactive repairs to Longshaw’s buildings and you’ll respond promptly to issues, coordinate with contractors and work with volunteers to create a safe working environment for everyone. You'll help the property team to meet their goals by keeping standards high, especially with the presentation of public areas and visitor facilities (including car parks and grounds).
You’ll also provide exceptional service to colleagues and external customers, answering general enquiries by email and telephone as well as using a variety of IT packages to create reports, keep accurate records and coordinate management information. In essence, you’ll use your fantastic customer service skills to deliver first class support at Longshaw, whatever the day brings.
Looking after such special places means we have to run a tight ship, so you’ll need an eye for detail, high standards and you’ll always be looking at how you can make efficiencies.
