LaunchPad Sports Club is looking for experienced, enthusiastic coaches to join our growing Girls FC programme across Yorkshire.
Girls FC is designed to give girls a brilliant introduction to football and help them fall in love with the game from the very beginning.
Our first sessions are launching for girls in Reception and Year 1, with teams and additional age groups developing as the programme grows.
The Role
We're looking for confident coaches who know how to create high-energy, engaging and enjoyable sessions for young children.
Girls FC is fun-first, but that doesn't mean the coaching isn't high quality. Sessions are carefully structured around football, ball mastery, games, movement, music and lots of touches of the ball, delivered in a way that makes young girls want to come back every week.
You'll follow the LaunchPad Girls FC session plans and coaching programme, while bringing your own personality, energy and coaching experience to every session.
You'll also play an important role in building the culture of your local Girls FC group — getting to know players and parents and helping a group of beginners develop into a real team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Girls FC sessions on weekend mornings
- Follow LaunchPad's Girls FC coaching programme and session plans
- Create a positive, energetic and inclusive environment
- Help players develop football skills, confidence and a love of the game
- Build strong relationships with children and parents
- Create a genuine sense of team and belonging
- Adapt sessions appropriately for different abilities and stages of development
- Set up and manage equipment
- Follow LaunchPad safeguarding, health & safety and coaching standards
- Support groups as they develop from beginner sessions into Girls FC teams
Who We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in coaches with experience in football, PE or children's sports coaching who understand that coaching young children requires enthusiasm, patience, organisation and excellent communication.
You might be a football coach, PE teacher, sports coach or personal trainer with a strong football background.
We're looking for people who are:
- Experienced and confident delivering children's sports sessions
- Excellent at engaging and motivating young children
- Passionate about football and increasing opportunities for girls
- Energetic, positive and dependable
- Comfortable taking ownership of a local Girls FC group
- Able to deliver structured sessions to a consistently high standard
- Available on weekends, particularly Sunday mornings
Relevant coaching qualifications are preferred, and an enhanced DBS check will be required.
