One of the UK's Largest Construction Consultancies is actively recruiting an Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on Infrastructure projects in Birmingham

My client is one of the leading Construction Consultancies in the UK, with a network of offices across the country as well as an established international presence. They have an excellent reputation in the market and are involved in delivering some of the Midlands’ most high-profile infrastructure projects.
The company works across a wide range of infrastructure sectors, including Water, Rail, Aviation and Highways, offering employees the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects of varying scale and value.
THE POSITION
Due to continued growth, they are actively looking to recruit an Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Infrastructure team in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take responsibility for projects from inception through to completion, managing key commercial aspects and building strong client relationships. Depending on experience, you will work independently on projects or take a lead role within larger commissions, supporting and mentoring more junior team members where appropriate.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor will:
- Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Ideally be working towards or already have achieved MRICS status.
- Have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the infrastructure sector.
- Possess a strong understanding of NEC forms of contract.
- Have experience managing projects or work packages, ideally on schemes valued up to £10 million and above.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Have excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Be capable of working independently while also contributing effectively within a wider project team.
For candidates applying at Senior Quantity Surveyor level, previous experience leading projects, managing client relationships and mentoring junior staff would be advantageous.
