As the link between our Design, Sales and Sales Administration teams, you'll provide technical and creative support throughout the customer journey. You'll produce furniture layouts, visualisations, bespoke designs and technical documentation, ensuring customer requirements are translated into practical, manufacturable solutions. You'll also coordinate bespoke projects, manage supplier liaison and material samples, and maintain product information to support a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Bespoke Support
- Act as the main design contact for sales enquiries and bespoke projects.
- Manage bespoke requests from enquiry through to quotation and manufacture.
- Produce customer drawings, visualisations and design concepts.
- Obtain supplier pricing and prepare quotations.
- Coordinate bespoke projects, ensuring all documentation and approvals are completed.
- Develop practical bespoke solutions using your knowledge of our products and manufacturing capabilities.
Space Planning & Visualisation
- Create 2D and 3D furniture layouts from customer floorplans.
- Produce high-quality renders and visualisations.
- Specify suitable furniture configurations and prepare layout drawings to support customer approvals and order processing.
Technical Documentation
- Produce technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation.
- Prepare fitting or assembly instructions where required.
- Ensure documentation remains accurate throughout each project.
Supplier & Product Support
- Manage the material sample library, preparing and dispatching samples.
- Liaise with suppliers to source materials, pricing and bespoke solutions.
- Maintain product, fabric and finish information.
- Produce product guides and supporting documentation to improve product knowledge across the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys solving both technical and creative design challenges. You'll be confident managing multiple projects while working collaboratively with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Essential
- Degree in Product, Furniture or Interior Design.
- Experience producing 2D and 3D drawings using DraftSight, pCon, SketchUp or similar software.
- Strong visual communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret customer floorplans and create effective furniture layouts.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
- A practical, solution-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience within commercial furniture, interiors or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of furniture construction and manufacturing processes.
- Experience producing technical drawings and Bills of Materials.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software.
- Experience working with bespoke or customer-specific solutions.
