Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, managing and packing stock, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. The position is suitable for individuals with warehouse experience. Will need a clean driving licence as we provide a local same day delivery service, Starting at Minimum wage rising to £13 after successful probation period
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts (Not essential)
- Managing stock levels through accurate picking and packing of orders
- Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas for optimal accessibility and safety
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Performing heavy lifting tasks safely to move goods within the warehouse environment
- Ensuring all safety protocols are followed during daily operations to maintain a secure workplace
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, stock management, or warehousing preferred
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; relevant certification is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking & packing processes
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload activities regularly
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
