We are looking for an experienced, confident, and enthusiastic Dog Grooming Stylist to join our busy salon in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Part or full time hours available, minimum 16 hours a week
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' professional dog grooming salon experience.
- Ability to come straight into the salon and work independently with little or no assistance.
- Confident grooming a wide range of breeds to a high standard, including breed-standard and pet trims.
- Physically fit and capable of safely handling dogs of all sizes, including giant breeds.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent understanding of dog behaviour and confident handling skills.
- A proactive problem solver who can work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexible, reliable, and punctual.
- Capable of working independently while also being a supportive and effective team player.
- Committed to maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic working environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must have a full driving licence.
Preferred
- Professional dog grooming qualifications are preferred but not essential if you have the required salon experience.
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references will be required.
- The successful applicant will be expected to complete a practical grooming assessment as part of the recruitment process.
