Transport Operator – 1+ years’ experience required – Warrington – Temp to Perm.
Location: Warrington
Shift pattern: Tuesday to Saturday Nights, 2100pm – 0600am
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Purpose of the Role:
To coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring efficient vehicle and driver allocation while delivering a high level of customer service and meeting all legal and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and allocate drivers, vehicles and loads using IT systems to maximise efficiency
- Ensure full driver coverage at all times, including agency staff
- Monitor driver hours and approve weekly timesheets
- Track deliveries and collections, keeping customers updated on progress or delays
- Take action to resolve any service issues quickly
- Communicate clearly with drivers, customers and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly
- Support team working, cross-training and continuous improvement
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment in line with health and safety standards
- Conduct driver debriefs and manage documentation to meet KPIs and targets
What we are looking for:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations
- Working knowledge of transport operation systems
- Logistics qualification would be desirable
