Pay: £16.83–£19.22 per hour + 15% shift allowance
Shift Pattern: 11.5-hour shifts (5 on / 5 off / 4 on / 4 off)

Tungsten West is restarting the world-class Hemerdon Tungsten-Tin Mine in South Devon and is seeking a Qualified Mechanical Fitter to support installation, maintenance and reliability of heavy plant and processing equipment.
This is a hands-on role within a major UK mining operation, supporting rebuild, commissioning and ongoing production.
** This role requires you to pass a Drug and Alcohol test on day one **

About the Role
You will carry out mechanical installation, maintenance and repair work across processing plant and heavy equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble and commission mechanical equipment and systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and work from mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Use tools, machinery and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete inspections, testing and maintenance records.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to required standards.
What We're Looking For Essential
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical discipline.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong awareness of health & safety in industrial environments.
Desirable
- Experience in mining, quarrying, manufacturing or heavy plant environments.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems and CMMS.
- Experience working on conveyors, pumps, crushers or similar equipment.
