## About the Role
We are a busy, warm family household looking for an experienced and reliable Home Assistant / Nanny to join us on a part-time basis. Our household includes four children — two with us full-time and two with us 50% of the time.
The primary focus of this role is supporting our nine-year-old daughter, who has emerging complex emotional needs. We are therefore looking for someone with genuine experience of SEND, and ideally an understanding of ADHD and autism, who can provide calm, consistent, and nurturing support.
Alongside this, the role includes general support across the wider household — helping keep busy mornings, school runs, and after-school routines running smoothly.
## Key Responsibilities
- Supporting our nine-year-old daughter as the primary focus of the role, including her morning routine, emotional regulation, and daily structure
- Liaising with school regarding our daughter's needs, including communication with teachers and SEND staff where appropriate
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Supporting homework, reading, and after-school club attendance
- Assisting with school runs and routines for the other children in the household as required
- General support to help the wider household run smoothly
## About You
- Experience working with children with SEND, ideally including ADHD and/or autism — **essential**
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, or equivalent) — **required**
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting) — **required**
- Proven childcare experience with excellent references
- Full UK driving licence and own transport — **essential** (fuel and mileage paid in addition to salary)
- Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent, with the ability to build trust with children
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable working as part of a busy family household
