Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, food and beverage service, and team leadership. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and creating a welcoming environment for guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar staff, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards
- Develop and implement training programmes for team members in service, food safety, and product knowledge
- Organise staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
- Monitor customer service levels and address any issues promptly
- Create innovative cocktail menus and promotional events to attract patrons
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in bars or restaurants
- Extensive restaurant experience with a strong understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food production processes
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Experience in all aspects of advertising on social media
- Barista experience or familiarity with specialised beverage preparation is a plus
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
