About the role
Reporting to the Injection Moulding Tooling & Maintenance Manager, you will lead a small team of Maintenance Engineers to oversee and participate in maintenance duties across the department.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with a daily paid break of 30 minutes (divided into one 10-minute break and one 20-minute break).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervision and Team Management:
- Lead a small team of injection moulding maintenance engineers focussed on machine availability, PPM and consistent output of the Production department.
- Provide direction, support, and mentorship to the injection moulding maintenance engineers.
- Machinery Maintenance:
- Ensure all maintenance work is undertaken in accordance with Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
- Typical maintenance would be carried out on the following but not limited to: injection moulding machines, conveyor systems, material systems, granulators and ancillary moulding equipment (temperature control units, small pneumatic presses)
- Use a methodical approach to Identify and address technical issues.
- Communicate with external technical support teams to rectify issues.
- Coordinate and record all maintenance activities through use of the Agility system.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Support and be involved with relevant project activities and capital expenditure in the department.
About You
You’ll be an apprentice served or professionally qualified engineer/technician, with a strong technical background in both mechanical & electrical engineering, who is willing to lead by example.

- Apprentice served or professionally qualified engineer/technician.
- Strong technical background in both mechanical & electrical engineering.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Self-disciplined with the ability to set and maintain high standards for self and others.
- Self-motivated to identify opportunities and deliver improvements against agreed objectives and timescales.
- Strong organisational and record keeping skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly - both verbally and written
- IT literate.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Supervisory experience in an engineering/maintenance department.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Experience of Injection Moulding
