We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our established Group Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast paced and collaborative environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting the wider finance function. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, helping to maintain robust financial controls and delivering high quality financial support to our Wrightcare business.
What You'll Do

Processing purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

Matching invoices to purchase orders and investigating any discrepancies.

Preparing supplier payment runs and maintaining supplier accounts.

Raising sales invoices and credit notes using the Evision system, based on instructions from operational teams.

Setting up new customer and supplier accounts.

Allocating customer receipts, reconciling customer accounts, and supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding debts.

Performing daily bank reconciliations and posting cash transactions.

Processing employee expense claims and company credit card statements.

Assisting with payroll administration and payroll reconciliations when required.

Supporting the preparation of month-end journals and assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.

Assisting with VAT returns, including chasing outstanding VAT receipts and supporting VAT-related activities.

Providing management accounts information for development company joint ventures.

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately.

Responding to finance-related queries from suppliers, customers, and colleagues across the business.

Ensuring compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Supporting the finance team with a range of ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required.
What You'll Bring
You will have relevant excellent experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role. It is essential that you have excellent IT skills in particular Microsoft Excel. It goes without saying, you will be organised have outstanding time management skills along with a methodical approach, and exceptional attention to detail. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills both oral and written and build relationships with ease. We need your positive attitude and skills to complement our established team.
