Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to young people and adults fostering their development and wellbeing. This position offers an enriching opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others through mentoring, teaching, and working closely with young people and adults in various settings.
Duties
- Offer one-to-one support to young people and adults,(16 - 18+) encouraging their personal growth and independence
- Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks, social interactions, and behavioural management
- Implement personalised programmes tailored to individual needs, promoting learning and development
- Foster a safe, supportive environment by maintaining clear boundaries and positive relationships
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent care and support plans
- Engage in mentoring roles to motivate and inspire children towards achieving their goals
- Contribute to the organisation of educational activities and behavioural interventions as required
Experience
- Previous experience of at least one year working with young people/ adults (16 -18+) is highly desirable
- Knowledge of mentoring techniques and behaviour management strategies is advantageous
- Experience in teaching, youth worker or supporting learning activities will be beneficial
- A caring attitude combined with excellent communication skills is essential
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting children's development and fostering positive relationships

Pay: £13.21-£14.00 per hour
