Wood is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Lead to support our quality team on a permanent staff basis.
Hybrid working with expectation of working 3 days from our client’s office in Aberdeen.
The Role
You will be managing or supports the application of quality principles, systems, and measures and the quality management system across a program or project. Focused on improving delivery efficiency customer satisfaction and reducing potential risks and rework whilst complying with Quality policy, and standards and delivering agreed objectives.
Ensures compliance with the Wood Business Management System and compliance through a structured assurance program.
Supporting measures that ensure predictable delivery and continuous improvement using performance data to make factually based decisions. Engaging and presenting program/project leaders with information and data to enable preventive interventions.

Expected:
- Degree/diploma or local equivalent in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Lead Auditor qualification by a recognized industry body
- Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute or equivalent
- Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques
- Extensive of relevant experience (preferably within a Fabrication / Machine shop / Manufacturing
- Comprehensive understanding of industry standards (ISO 9001)
- Proficient in the analysis of processes and data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High Level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
- Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques
