Apley Farm Shop - Santa Claus
Apley Farm Shop is a small historic complex of farm buildings home to a Foodhall with Deli, Butchery and onsite baked goods, Kitchen Cafe serving local and seasonal produce, indoor Playbarn, outdoor play area and Nature Trail. It is also home to a range of small local businesses within a beautiful courtyard setting.

Role Purpose
To create a magical and memorable Christmas experience for every child and family visiting Apley Farm Shop. As Santa Claus, you will embody the spirit of Christmas, deliver warm, engaging and authentic interactions, maintain the highest standards of professionalism, safeguarding and customer service.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can make every child believe—whether through a kind word, a hearty laugh, or remembering that reindeer are getting ready for Christmas Eve. The ideal Santa doesn't simply wear the suit; they bring the magic of Christmas to life and help create memories that families will treasure for years to come.
Safeguarding
Santa Claus is a position of trust involving regular contact with children. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, professionalism and appropriate conduct at all times. An enhanced DBS check may be required depending on the nature of the role.
Physical Requirements
The role involves:
- Sitting for extended periods within the grotto.
- Wearing a Santa costume and beard* throughout the shift.
- Working in costume for several hours.
- Occasional standing and walking between event locations.
What are the working hours and pay?
Our event starts from November and runs up to and including Christmas Eve. Availability during this period is essential.
Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience) up to £20.00 per hour with lunch allowance included.
