Thermserve is a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial furnaces, combustion systems, cooling plants and turnkey thermal processing equipment for the global metals industry.
Purpose of the Role
Commission industrial furnace and process plant installations worldwide, ensuring safe and compliant operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission control systems.
- Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- Support design reviews and technical problem solving.
- Ensure compliance with CE/UKCA, ISO 9001 and customer specifications.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Promote continuous improvement and engineering best practice.
- Carry out loop checks and functional testing / operation commissioning.
- Train customer operators and maintenance personnel.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable standards.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Support the delivery of company objectives.
Qualifications
- Degree/HNC in relevant engineering discipline.
- Relevant industrial engineering experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
Software Knowledge
- Microsoft Office
- AutoCAD/EPLAN/Inventor (role dependent)
- PLC software where applicable
- Project planning software
Standards Knowledge
- BS EN ISO 13577
- IEC 60204-1
- BS 7671 (electrical roles)
- ISO 9001
- CE/UKCA Machinery requirements
