Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a proactive, energetic, and results-driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our venue and experiences. This role will focus on generating new business opportunities through lead generation, partnership development, outbound sales activity, networking, and social media engagement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new revenue opportunities, building relationships with local businesses and tourism partners, increasing brand awareness, and supporting the sales pipeline from initial contact through to enquiry generation.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
● Proactively identify and research new business opportunities across corporate, leisure, tourism, hospitality, education, and group markets.
● Generate and qualify new leads through online research, networking, cold outreach, referrals, and social media channels.
● Build and maintain a database of prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
● Conduct outbound sales activity via email, phone calls, LinkedIn, and face-to-face meetings.
● Arrange meetings and site visits with potential clients and partners.
● Develop relationships with hotels, serviced apartments, Airbnb hosts, corporate organisations, event planners, and tourism operators.
● Support the creation and execution of partnership initiatives to drive venue bookings and visitor numbers.
● Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry events to generate leads and raise brand awareness.
Social Media & Brand Engagement
● Create and schedule engaging content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
● Support the promotion of events, offers, partnerships, and venue activities.
● Engage with followers, local businesses, influencers, and community groups to increase visibility and brand reach.
● Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for growth and collaboration.
● Assist with capturing photo and video content during events and venue activations.
● Track social media performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Sales Support
● Assist with responding to inbound enquiries and converting leads into bookings.
● Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and sales collateral.
● Monitor and report on outreach activity, lead generation, partnership development, and conversion performance.
● Work closely with the Sales & Events Manager to achieve targets.
Skills & Experience
Essential
● Previous experience in sales, business development, marketing, hospitality, events, or a customer-facing role.
● Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
● Confident using LinkedIn and social media platforms professionally.
● Strong organisational and time management skills.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Target-driven with a proactive approach to generating new business.
● Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Desirable
● Experience within hospitality, leisure, tourism, attractions, events, or entertainment sectors.
● Knowledge of the local business and tourism landscape.
● Experience creating content for social media platforms.
● Experience attending networking events and developing partnerships.
