The employer is happy to discuss flexible working arrangements, provided the role is fulfilled across five working days each week and the needs of the business are met.
From time to time, attendance outside normal working hours may be required by agreement to accommodate property inspections, contractor visits, tenant requirements or other business needs.
Salary
£32,000 to £37,000 per annum
Negotiable subject to qualifications and experience.
Purpose of the Role
To provide efficient day-to-day administration and coordination of a diverse rural property business, supporting the smooth operation of residential, commercial, agricultural operations and storage properties.
The business manages a varied portfolio comprising approximately 40 residential properties, 20 commercial units, storage facilities, grazing agreements and wider farming interests.
The role combines office administration, lettings administration, tenant liaison, contractor coordination, lease administration, farm record keeping and general business support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting commercial activities, coordinating property matters and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the office and wider operation.
As part of a small and collaborative team, the successful candidate will occasionally assist in maintaining continuity of service during periods of colleagues annual leave or absence. This may include, by prior agreement, monitoring diverted telephone calls, responding to urgent enquiries and helping ensure that tenant and contractor matters continue to be dealt with promptly and professionally.
Office Administration
- Support the day-to-day operation of the office.
- Maintain filing systems, databases and company records.
- Ensure key records are accurate, organised and up to date.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments and site visits where required.
- Manage incoming correspondence, telephone enquiries and emails.
- Confidently use Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Use online systems and platforms including Land Registry services, property compliance systems, tenancy deposit schemes and landlord administration platforms such as MyDeposits, the NRLA and similar systems.
- Liaise with our Accounts Department
- Assist with getting competitive quotes for insurance; and keeping our insurance provision fit for purpose.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in property administration, lettings administration, office administration or a similar role.
- Up to date knowledge on recent changes to rental legislation, including the Renters' Rights Act.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and work independently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Confidence working with online administrative platforms and databases.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
