Football Coaching Position Available – Southend ⚽
At Samba Soccer Schools is in Southend-on-Sea and are recruiting an enthusiastic Lead Football Coach to deliver our Brazilian style football sessions for children aged 4 to 12.
At Samba Soccer Schools, we bring the energy and creativity of Brazilian football to every session. Our goal is to develop confident, skillful and expressive young players in a fun and supportive environment.
Our coaching focuses on three key areas:
Skill Development – Breaking down techniques into simple, progressive steps children can build on.
Creativity and Confidence – Encouraging freedom of expression and fearless play.
Fun and Energy – High-energy sessions with music, designed to keep children engaged and excited to learn.
Recruitment Process
Following your application, shortlisted candidates will complete a short phone interview. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend an in-person practical assessment.
Practical Assessment
Successful candidates will be required to complete a practical coaching assessment during a live session.

Southend - Saturdays, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured football sessions
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Demonstrate key techniques and support player development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and fellow coaches
- Maintain high safety standards and punctuality
What We’re Looking For
- FA Level 1 qualification or Introduction to Coaching Football Certificate, or currently working towards it
- One to three years’ experience coaching children aged 4 to 12
- Enhanced DBS, ideally issued within the last 12 months (this you can process with us, if needed)
- Strong technical ability and confidence demonstrating skills
- A genuine passion for developing young players
- Based within a reasonable distance of Southend
