Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Laser Cutter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machinery to produce precise components and parts, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. The Laser Cutter Operator will play a vital part in the production process, utilising advanced technology and manual skills to deliver exceptional results.
Duties
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to specifications and project requirements
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD files using Autocad, CypCut and other CAD software to programme machine operations
- Maintain and calibrate laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Select appropriate tooling and materials for each project, ensuring correct handling and storage
- Perform routine inspections of machinery, troubleshooting issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and hand tools as necessary
- Assist with fabrication tasks such as welding, milling, or assembly when required
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organising stock within the warehouse or workshop area
- Conduct quality checks on finished components to verify accuracy against specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, materials handling, or manufacturing environments, preferably within a warehouse or workshop setting
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCad and basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), tooling, welding, milling, and assembly processes is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and understanding of mechanical systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate

Overtime Paid @ Time & Half. Overtime Bonus Scheme in Place.
Hours Of Work - 07:30-16:00 Mon-Thurs & 07.30-15:00 Fridays
