Greenway are experts in the hazardous waste industry, handling a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, including corrosive liquids, paints and solvents, contaminated rags, oil sludge and filters, aerosols, oxidisers, WEEE and resins. Greenway operate a Total Waste Management division which offers a full-service solution from site visits and sampling to container supply and transportation. Greenway pride themselves in offering industry-leading response times for their services and turning waste into energy, through innovative and sustainable solutions.
This position is based at our site on Redfern Street, Bootle and is a permanent position.
This position will require you to work closely with the Senior Site Chemists and Site Supervisors to work in all day-to-day operational aspects, including any processes, preformed on site.
This is a hands-on role and will involve offloading and loading of HGV vehicles, preparation of out bound loads or shipments, limited bulking and re-packaging, operation of equipment and plant
Training and support will be provided wherever necessary.
Other duties on site as necessary.
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
Ø Unloading of deliveries and loading of external bound loads.
Ø Safe internal transfer and storage of materials on site
Ø Preparation of outbound TFS loads
Ø Assisting with loading Solvent Tanker Barrels
Ø Working on the Aerosol Destruction Plant as required by site plans
Ø Bulking of waste materials as required
Ø Assisting Chemists with duties as required
Ø General maintaining of housekeeping standards on site
Ø Compliance with high standards of Health and Safety, to include PPE, at all times
Ø Ad hoc duties to be advised by your line manager
20 days holiday rising by 1 day. After 2 complete years rising by one day each year to a maximum of 25 days + 8 Bank holidays.
