We specialise in same-day, UK overnight and international deliveries, providing bespoke transport solutions where speed, reliability and efficiency are essential. We also provide specialist technical courier services and fully tracked deliveries to a wide range of customers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a professional and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team working 11am - 8pm but must be flexible when covering holiday's and sickness.
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will play an important part in delivering our high level of service to customers across the UK.
The role will involve a mixture of local, regional and nationwide work, depending on operational requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring goods are transported and delivered safely, securely and on time while representing Bonds Worldwide Express professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Completing deliveries and collections across the UK.
- Loading and securing goods safely and correctly.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Completing relevant delivery and collection documentation.
- Using company systems and technology to complete delivery information and maintain accurate records.
- Ensuring all goods are handled with care throughout the delivery process.
- Maintaining excellent communication with the transport team and customers.
- Providing a professional and courteous service at every delivery and collection.
- Complying with all drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport legislation.
- Maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle.
- Working flexibly to meet customer and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will be:
- A fully qualified Class 1 (C+E) driver with a valid licence.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Experienced in UK road transport and deliveries.
- Customer-focused with good communication skills.
- Able to work independently while also being part of a busy transport operation.
- Flexible and willing to undertake different types of work when required.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and electronic delivery systems.
- Safety-conscious with a good understanding of vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Able to remain calm and professional when working to tight deadlines.
- Well presented and able to represent the Bonds Worldwide brand positively.
