Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages and documents to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate efficiently through urban and rural areas.
Duties
- Load and unload packages, ensuring that items are handled with care and securely stored during transit.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including addresses, times, and any relevant notes.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting packages and preparing them for dispatch.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
