Functional Assessors to carry out
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments.
This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a rewarding role with
Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm hours, with no nights, weekends or bank holidays.
Salary: PIP – £40,000 starting salary + £1,000 increase after 6 and 12 months (performance dependent) + excellent bonus scheme
Hours Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Full-time positions available, with part-time opportunities available following successful completion of the full-time training period.
The Role As a PIP Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical knowledge and professional judgement to assess how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their
daily living and mobility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting telephone and face-to-face assessments
- Reviewing medical evidence, questionnaires and supporting information
- Discussing claimants' health conditions and how they affect their everyday lives
- Exploring areas such as daily living activities and mobility
- Producing clear, accurate and objective reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
- Making evidence-based recommendations following your assessment
Full Training Provided Successful candidates will complete a
12-week fully paid training programme, covering:
- PIP assessment techniques
- DWP guidelines and requirements
- Report writing
- Practical assessment skills
- Applying clinical knowledge and professional judgement
Who We're Looking For:
- Registered Adult Nurses (General, Mental Health, Learning Disability)
- Occupational Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Paramedics
- Pharmacists
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting
- Minimum 1 year of active NMC or HCPC registration
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Excellent IT, typing and report-writing abilities
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently
