Job Title: Commercial Cleaner (High-Energy Role)

Salary: £14.50 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 10 hours per week (evening shifts, Monday to Friday)
About the Role
We are a commercial cleaning business looking for two reliable, hardworking Temporary Cleaners to join our small team for an initial 6-week period. You will be helping to cover a medical leave window, working alongside our permanent staff to maintain exceptionally high standards at our commercial contract sites.
While this role starts as a fixed 6-week contract to cover a medical absence, there is a good possibility of ongoing work for the right candidates as our business expands.
This is a fast-paced role perfect for anyone looking for consistent evening hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Floor Care: Operating and pushing heavy, commercial-sized hoovers over large floor areas and mopping hard surfaces.
- Surface Cleansing: Deep cleaning, dusting, and sanitising desks, tables, and communal touchpoints.
- Waste Management: Emptying internal bins, replacing liners, and transferring heavy waste safely to external commercial skips.
- Washroom Hygiene: Scrubbing, disinfecting, and deep cleaning toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Restocking: Ensuring soap, toilet rolls, and paper towel dispensers are fully stocked.
Requirements
- High Stamina: Applicants must accept that this is a high-energy, physically demanding job. You must be capable of hoovering and deep cleaning commercial-sized properties within tight nightly windows.
- Driving Licence (Mandatory): Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own reliable vehicle to travel to various sites (staff will remain static at one site per shift).
- Background Check: Must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be fully willing to undergo an immediate DBS check funded by us.
- Reliability: Exceptional timekeeping and punctuality are critical to ensure properties are securely opened, cleaned, and locked.
- Experience: Previous commercial or office cleaning experience is preferred, but full training can be given to the right candidate with the right work ethic.
