Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Nursery Practitioner Level 3 Apprentice! Duties
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s developmental milestones
- Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a positive environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming setting by following health and safety procedures
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with senior staff for ongoing development planning
- Support management in daily operational tasks and contribute to team meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with young children are key
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Basic understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed
- Willingness to undertake training towards achieving Level 3 Childcare qualification (apprenticeship program)
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles requiring travel between settings or parent meetings
- Management skills are beneficial for supporting daily routines and contributing to the overall running of the nursery
